Beautiful penthouse in Tulum, Mexico

 resting.jpg

Tulum offers the perfect combination of nature, culture, relaxation, tranquility and yet with the many interesting and rich activities in the area. It Is located about 45 minutes drive south of Playa del Carmen and only 25 minutes south of Akumal and hosts the only archaeological site in the Riviera Maya overlooking the ocean.

Tulumīs town is slowly growing and is offering more and more services like good local restaurants, supermarkets, 2 bus stations, a modest night life and a  great variety of accommodations.

Among all the things to do and see you can take snorkeling and diving tours to the reefs or cenotes ---sacred wells used for a variety of purposes in ancient Mayan days- lie on fabulous beaches, windsurf, kite surf, get tanned and drink beers and margaritas.

A large number of cenotes are located in the Tulum area such as Maya Blue, Naharon, Temple of Doom, Tortuga, Vacaha, Gand Cenote, Abejas, Nohoch Kiin and Carwash cenotes and cave systems.

Just a few meters from Tulumīs beaches is Tulumīs archeological site which is a cultural icon in the Riviera Maya. In its heyday, Tulum served as a port of call for mariners and traders, and its walls defined the ancient town's defense against invaders from sea and land. The site is surrounded by a 5 m (16 ft) thick wall on three sides, interrupted by five gates. The entrance to the ruins is about a 5-minute walk from the archaeological site. The city square includes artisans' stands, a bookstore, a museum, a restaurant, several large bathrooms, and a ticket booth. Incomparably beautiful, the ancient site clings to the cliffs overlooking the intense turquoise blue Caribbean Sea. The most iconic structure of this site is El Castillo that with its beachfront location dominates the skyline where sea and cliffs meet in an impressive panorama that stimulates all the senses.

The beach at the Tulum definitely merits a mention,  it is known and celebrated as one of the most spectacular beaches in the world with its white powder sand that stays cool under the Mexican sun, the beautiful colors of the water that can only be described as Caribbean blue and some of the worldīs best underwater marine life.

Romance, total relaxation, eco-adventure, culture and the worldīs most beautiful beaches in an incomparably lovely natural environment: Tulum gives you the opportunity to experience this Mystical Land in the Riviera Maya and Moskito will help you organizing everything you need.
